A very good morning to you wonderful people! Yes, it’s me again, and it’s with so much joy I write this to you, for us. 🙂 How is the going like? I’m still more than certain that as the days progress, with love and light, we are moving miles and miles, yes? Let’s smile at it together.
So, did you ever sit to think why we have the word of God in place? In it, there’s answer to so many questions no one has or will ever answer. Why? Because it is the very breath of God. Where the Lord leads, He guides and that’s exactly what His word has been doing for me. It’s in place for us not only to read but live it as well. That is, OBEY IT!
This morning I had an opportunity of going through these 2 scriptures. Joshua 8:18 that says: Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Hold out toward Ai the javelin that is in your hand, for into your hand I will deliver the city.” So Joshua held out toward the city the javelin that was in his hand.”
And then there is also Joshua 8:26 that says: “For Joshua did not draw back the hand that held out his javelin until he had destroyed all who lived in Ai.“
Faith is a very important aspect in our lives yesterday, now (today) and everyday. The word of God says that without faith, it is impossible to please God. In Joshua’s scenario, I compared it to our faith today. By the way I still don’t imagine that He used to communicate directly with God. Like they’d have conversations, just like that! Privilege, huh?
I figured so strongly that the Lord has handed us our Javelins and these same Javelins will result in us acquiring great victory if we are patient enough to keep holding it towards the enemy. What enemy? Sister, brother, what enemy? What’s causing you restlessness and a weak Spirit? What’s that that has disconnected you from your spiritual life?
Our Javelins could be pointing out towards gossip, lust, laziness, anger, those are enemies against the body and the Spirit and they’ve got tendency to attack us at any given time. Lies, and so many others. How about those that bring down our faith? Situations of joblessness, financial crisis, debts, broken relationships, broken homes, divorced parents, death etc. It is a lot.
It doesn’t matter if the conversation with God isn’t as direct as it was with Joshua, but He still speaks, He still thunders through HIS Word, and he is instructing us to hold our Javelins towards our enemies, enemies of body and of Spirit, until He’s asked us to put it down. How long you are willing to hold that Javelin shows your faith, your trust because God asks us to believe that it will be over after a time and victory shall be ours as it was for the Israelites!
I hope that through our confidence in the Most High, even when we want to put down the Javelin and let the enemy overpower us, His word, His promise and in remembering that where HE leads, HE guides.
Thank you so much for reading and for being blessed. From my heart to yours. 🙂
